Twisting turning in my bed,
I saw the dawn break ahead

Loosing my count as I weep,
How long has it been since I sleep

Wishing things I could have changed,
And it wouldn’t have been so estranged

Knowing how there wasn’t a way,
I sit in the darkness as I pay

Going getting all tougher,
The first step was to suffer

Maturing comes with a price
And I wouldn’t want to hear that twice

Trying to save my inner child,
I might sound you a little wild

Rebelling was never my plan,
But I could not turn into that man

Toiling towards the days to come,
When I don’t have to feel so numb.
